What's New? Blown bulb warning light on dash?? All times are GMT +1. The time now is. I've only had my Vectra ('53) about 2 months now but it's always shown a "bulb symbol with exclamation mark in it" and a "brake disc warning light" for the first 30 secs on start up. All bulbs are fine and the brakes were replaced by the previous owner.
start with the ignition off. press and hold the button. switch ignition on and wait, after approx 10 seconds your new interval should be displayed and the message insp appears for 2 seconds. wait until "---" is displayed. release the button. switch off ignition. Posted on Jul 27, 2010. Helpful 2.

Everytime I start the car from cold the service icon (the picture of the car with a spanner through it) comes on and will stay on for 2 - 3 minutes, then it will go out. I think it is because the car is cold because when I turn the engine off and on again the light will go out almost as soon as it comes on.
Andy Horwat of Engine Tuning & Diagnostics shares an unusual issue he encountered with a customer’s Vectra. The customer in question was a new one to my workshop, and he had called to discuss a problem with his Vauxhall Vectra. The vehicle was a ’57 plate, 2.2 direct petrol injection model which was experiencing an intermittent loss of power.
The Vectra driver can be conigured for two different modes of operation, Return Pump or Closed Loop. Before operation make sure the Vectra is set to the desired coniguration. The Vectra's default coniguration is for use as a Return Pump. Switching between the two conigurations is detailed on the next page. (Can be used submersed or inline)
I've just reset my service light (as dealers have forgotten) and although it has reset.. if I turn on the ignition and press the resest button for a few seconds I get the following: 1.7 004 05 Any idea what that is?
